Learn how to breathe and move with depth, ease and flow in this special vinyasa class.

Blair will break down and teach you the five qualities of vinyasa yoga: breath, bandha, drishti, rhythm and awareness. When you understand the deeper principles within your yoga practice, your practice will develop and open you to new possibilities within your body, mind and energy field.

This masterclass will be 15 minutes theory, then we will deep dive into the practice. It is an all levels class—great for new students as you learn the foundations, and also perfect for the seasoned practitioner as it pulls all of the powerful qualities of vinyasa together.

Set in the heart of Santa Gertrudis in the centre of Ibiza, natural presence is a thriving yoga studio. Our immersive yoga retreat is deep and potent, yet accessible to all. The daily workshops and practices are informative and transformative in nature. All you need is an urge to grow and develop yourself, and a willingness to understand your mind beyond the content of your current reality and limitation.

Blair will skilfully lead you through the daily practices and in depth workshops of Vinyasa and Yin, Pranayama Breathing, Meditation, Contemplative Self-Inquiry and Yoga Philosophy.

The retreat is based around four pillars of yoga: asana, pranayama, meditation and contemplation. In the asana practices, we will look at how the body functions and how some postures are more accessible for some people, and others more restricted. This is an important foundation to understand in order for you to grow and develop in your practice.

In the workshops, you will learn base alignment as well as internal alignment. It is in the internal alignment that pranayama “breath” comes into play. Learning how to breathe deeply, yet freely, is an essential component as this is how you open up your body, and allow energy and information to move through you.

We will also practice seated pranayama where we will control the flow of breath into key energy points, and begin to develop bandha (locks) to direct prana “energy”. Learning and deepening your asana and pranayama will transform how you practice and the results you get.

The next pillar is meditation. This is where you develop and learn how your mind functions. Understanding the four functions of the mind will give you insight into who you are, and how to take a hold of the reins of the mind and senses. This component is not to be missed as it will change the way you view yourself and the world, giving you the understanding of how to meditate with reason and precision.

The fourth pillar contemplation is how you take yoga and meditation off your mat and into the world. After all, we all have to participate in the world. Here you will learn how to ask internal questions, which we call self inquiry, then you will learn how to listen for the insight or wisdom that comes through. Learning how to hold the tension of the opposites where we ask a directed question and hold opposing viewpoints is a powerful skill to have, especially in a world that is so polarised, and often conflicting.

This immersive retreat is deep and transformative. If you come with an open mind and a willingness to grow and develop yourself beyond the limitations of your current reality, I can guarantee you will have profound insights and a new sense of self and relief.
